Job Overview

The Community Health Outreach Promoter is a key role that involves promoting engagement in health issues within the local community. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing health/hygiene promotion/education/awareness initiatives in targeted areas.

Main Responsibilities

  • Build partnerships with key stakeholders and individuals in the community to promote engagement in health issues.
  • Liaise and coordinate with program staff for project implementation, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Conduct awareness raising sessions and outreach activities to inform community members about available services.
  • Facilitate and organize awareness sessions for communities on basic health knowledge and key health activities conducted at local health facilities.
  • Act as a liaison between the community and management, facilitating transparent complaint resolution through CBFRM.
  • Maintain a respectful and culturally sensitive attitude towards colleagues and community members.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • A Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Community Volunteer.
  • Awareness of local culture and languages.
