Job Title: Chief Pipeline Operations OfficerThis is a senior leadership position that oversees the entire pipeline operations function. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and management, with significant experience in leading cross-functional teams.Responsibilities:1. Ensure efficient operation of the transmission network to guarantee uninterrupted gas supply to customers, minimizing interruptions and supervise related activities.2. Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs regarding OGRA technical matters for projects.3. Conduct transmission network simulation studies and analysis for existing and future infrastructure.4. Formulate gas network strategies and development plans according to business requirements.5. Manage project scheduling and coordination, liaise with construction and operation departments, and supervise projects.6. Work with Planning & Development to plan, design, and implement gas pipeline projects, enhancing existing networks and managing growth requirements.7. Prepare departmental revenue and capital budgets and implement/monitor approved budgets.8. Schedule pipeline repairs and modifications to ensure continued gas transmission.9. Lead a team of engineers through prompt downward communication and authority delegation, achieving optimal output/efficiencies for timely targets.10. Review project progress reports for management/board and ministry, ensuring effective liaison.11. Establish gas transmission/distribution procedures and policies following safety standards and international best practices.12. Implement policies/minimize UFG losses, supporting the UFG department.13. Centralize gas dispatch/control, accurately computing/verifying gas volumes at sources, RLNG delivery points, and city gate stations.14. Manage staff motivation/training, ensuring efficient UFG control in Transmission Network.15. Respond promptly to pipeline leaks/mishaps, minimizing environmental impact/loss of life and property.16. Ensure gas purchase/delivery follows contractual conditions, managing load/reporting/recording.17. Supervise operational issues after signing GSAs; route surveys, detailed drawings, and construction drawings.18. Maintain pipeline right-of-way/civil maintenance vigilance, overseeing pipeline Integrity Management.19. Liaise with government/municipal authorities for pipeline project approvals.20. Perform any other task assigned by supervisor.
