Deputy Chief Engineer Corrosion Control (Transmission Karachi)

We seek a seasoned expert to fill the role of Deputy Chief Engineer Corrosion Control, responsible for safeguarding assets and ensuring pipeline integrity.

About the Role

This position involves detailed inspections at CCT stations, test points, and pipeline projects to document findings and ensure compliance with standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Protection: Oversee the operation of CCT stations and perform maintenance as needed to prevent asset degradation.
  • Maintenance Records: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Enterprise Asset Management: Implement and oversee enterprise asset management programs to optimize asset performance and minimize risks.
  • Coating and Wrapping Inspection: Review coating and wrapping conditions to prevent pipeline corrosion and ensure adherence to industry standards.
  • Pipeline Integrity Assessment: Conduct bi-annual pipe-to-soil potential, DCVG, CIPS, and other surveys to assess pipeline integrity and identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with service providers/vendors to ensure timely and effective delivery of services.
  • Coating Rehabilitation and Corrosion Monitoring: Develop and implement coating rehabilitation and corrosion monitoring plans to minimize risks and maximize asset lifespan.
  • Pipeline Design and Installation: Assist in pipeline design, installation, and post-installation surveys to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks, develop response strategies, and monitor them to ensure optimal risk mitigation.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Education: B.E. or B.Sc. (16 years) with at least 6 years of post-qualification experience or Master's (18 years) with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Certification: PEC registration is mandatory, along with certification from AMPP(NACE), API, or TWI for Cathodic Protection/Coating Inspection.
  • Experience: At least 6 years of experience primarily in pipeline integrity management and cathodic protection, preferably in Oil & Gas/Public Sector.
