The primary objective of this position is to guarantee a reliable, uninterrupted supply of natural gas from various sources to distribution networks through efficient operation and maintenance of transmission systems and pipelines. This includes planning and designing new pipeline systems and supply mains.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Transmission Network Operations: Ensure the efficient operation of the transmission network to provide gas supply to all designated customers while minimizing supply interruptions and supervise related activities.">
  • Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with regulatory affairs regarding OGRA technical matters pertaining to projects.">
  • Network Analysis: Conduct transmission network simulation studies and analysis for existing, future indigenous, and gas import infrastructure.">
  • Gas Network Strategies: Develop gas network strategies and plans in line with business requirements.">
  • Project Management: Conduct project management activities, including project scheduling, coordination, liaison with construction and operation departments, and supervision.">
  • Pipeline Project Planning: Coordinate with the Planning & Development department to plan, design, feasibility, budget, resource management, coordination, implementation, control, and monitoring of gas pipeline projects to rehabilitate and enhance the existing pipeline network.">
  • Team Leadership: Guide a team of engineers involved in different pipeline project activities through prompt downward communication and authority delegation.">
  • Progress Reporting: Review project progress reports for management/board and ministry and ensure effective liaison.">
  • Safety Procedures: Establish gas transmission or distribution procedures and policies according to safety requirements and international best practices.">
  • UFG Loss Control: Implement policies and procedures to minimize UFG losses and support the UFG department in this regard.">
  • Gas Dispatch and Control: Centralize gas dispatch and control along with accurate computation/verification of gas volume at gas sources, RLNG delivery points, and city gate stations.">
  • Staff Management: Manage, motivate, and train the department's staff.">
  • Incident Response: Promptly respond to any leakage or mishap on the pipeline system to minimize environmental impact and loss of life and property.">
  • Liaison with Authorities: Maintain liaison with government and municipal authorities for approval pertaining to pipeline project activities.">
  • Additional Tasks: Undertake any other task assigned by the supervisor.">
