Job Description

This is a proactive pipeline role that involves maintaining an active talent pool for future job openings.

  • Working in 24 x 7 shifts for fault monitoring, troubleshooting and providing first-level support for ongoing issues related to IT and Core domains.
  • The role reports directly to the Manager Core Supervision and this team comprises of 5 team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fault Monitoring and reporting for Core nodes.
  • Engagement and escalation to all stakeholder teams.
  • Planned Network activities support.
  • NMS Health Checks.
  • Service Requests Handling.
  • Health Checks of various platforms/tools.

Key Deliverables:

  • Alarm monitoring of various domains like CS Core, PS Core, IN and VAS.
  • Service impact calculation of outage incidents.
  • IN complaints handling.
  • IMEI Whitelisting service requests handling.
  • Netcool Health Check for auto escalations.
  • Major KPI trends monitoring and reporting.
  • Provide support to field teams for Network Planned Activities and to do pre-post verifications.
  • ServiceNow Health Check to ensure smooth working of all auto and manual escalations.
Required Skills and Qualifications

B.S. or B.Sc. Electrical/Telecom/Computer Engineering, Prior working Experience in a NOC Environment, Hands on experience with Huawei, ZTE and Nokia RAN equipment.

  • Good understanding of RAN technologies (2G/LTE).
  • Thorough know-how of network topologies and their inter-working.
  • Good understanding of basic call flows for 2G/4G.
  • Hands-on experience of NMS systems and associated software tools.
  • Fault Management Procedures & Industry Practices.
  • Deep understanding of Network Operations Environment.
  • Customer Centric Approach to facilitate the internal customer teams.
  • Computer Proficiency, MS Office must include MS Visio & Power point.
  • Good Communication and Presentations skills.
