Technical SEO Specialist

This role involves utilizing automated approaches to identify and resolve issues on websites prior to receiving notifications from Google. The position requires individuals who possess knowledge or are willing to learn about automated website testing, including high-performance HTML validators, link checkers, spell checkers, automatic detection of missing elements, analysis of missing keywords, etc. This necessitates performance optimization in near real-time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and implement tools for automatic link checking, HTML validation, etc. (e.g., linkchecker, tidy, etc.) in the Linux command line.
  • Execute tests, collect, and analyze data and results (Elasticsearch Apache Logs, Matomo, Google Analytics).
  • Design and A/B test new concepts.
  • Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing.
  • Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion, and optimization.
  • Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure SEO best practices are implemented in newly developed code.
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking, and other factors to enhance SEO positions for target keywords.
  • Design and assist developers in implementing automated testing for elements (e.g., schema.org) that enhance SEO.
Requirements:

Essential Skills:

  • Experience with tools for automated HTML site validation (e.g., linkchecker, wget2, tidy, w3c-linkcheck, etc.).
  • Ability to utilize the Linux command line for running analytics tools and analyzing web server logs.
  • In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in SEO.
