Junior SQA Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing test cases, executing testing directly or leveraging offshore resources, and collaborating with onshore and offshore team members for project success.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop comprehensive test cases based on thorough research and analysis of test requirements.
  2. Effectively execute testing to ensure accurate results, identify failure patterns, and support bug triage processes.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  4. Execute Black box and Grey Box testing.
  5. Review software technical design documents and business requirement documents to identify testing shortfalls.
  6. Manage the life cycle of bugs from identification to closure.

Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 1 year of experience in functional and back-end testing of eCommerce websites or comparable complex systems.
  2. Experience and domain knowledge of B2B & B2C Web Applications.
  3. Knowledge of E-Commerce business platforms.
  4. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent is required.
  5. Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
  6. Strong analytical/problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail and communication.
  7. Ability to understand requirements fully and initiate discussions with concerned people to seek clarifications on unclear/unspecified requirements.
  8. Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Test design, creation, execution, and reporting of manual test cases.
  2. Strong knowledge of SDLC and SQA methodology as well as experience testing on an Agile team.
  3. Development of Test Cases for System Level Testing.
