Job Description:
The British Asian Trust is an international development organisation working to tackle poverty and inequality in South Asia. The role will help maximise opportunities and achieve ambitious plans for the Pakistan programme.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop contextual expertise to understand donor landscape in Pakistan that meets fundraising priorities.
  • Lead development of strategy for fundraising in Pakistan that aligns with corporate strategy and fundraising plan.
  • Support Pakistan Director in finalising registration in Pakistan and ensuring fundraising complies with local laws and regulations.
  • Proactively develop portfolio of strategic partnerships for Pakistan, especially with donors based in Pakistan.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with their offices.
  • Lead engagement with relevant funder networks and platforms, identifying areas of collaboration to raise profile within these spaces.
  • Where required lead on events that build profile amongst key donor stakeholders.

About Us:
The British Asian Trust has been working with local partners and communities in Pakistan since its foundation, focused on livelihoods, education and mental health. A senior role which will be part of the Senior Management Team in Pakistan and expected to engage at a strategic level to influence fundraising.

  • Ability to prioritise work and work well under pressure
  • Ability to work methodically and with high attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of database, spreadsheet and word-processing software
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot

Benefits:
This is a senior role which will be part of the Senior Management Team in Pakistan and expected to engage at a strategic level to influence fundraising. Contribute to overall strategic and financial planning as required. Set, monitor and report on fundraising KPI's for Pakistan. Proactively identify and drive funding opportunities within Pakistan. Maintain up-to-date information on donor priorities and strategies pertaining to programmes and ensure senior management are briefed. Report regularly to Pakistan Director and Fundraising Director (UK).
