Proposal Writer Job Opportunity

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Proposal Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching, drafting, editing, and submitting high-quality business proposals and bids in response to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) across various platforms.

This role demands excellent communication skills, a strong grasp of business writing, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will have a degree in English language & literature, with a minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience in business proposal writing or bidding (preferred). A background in government proposals and/or technical proposals is also highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze current and future markets to identify new opportunities
  • Respond to RFPs and business proposals (Bids), ensuring compliance with all submission requirements
  • Develop proposal outlines and manage proposal timelines in collaboration with Proposal Managers
  • Write, edit, and compile proposal content, including executive summaries, resumes, and project descriptions
  • Ensure compliance with RFP criteria (content, formatting, length, layout)
  • Maintain quality using templates and consistent proposal-writing standards
  • Organize and update all related proposal documentation
  • Track and maintain a log of submitted bids and their outcomes

Requirements:

  • Strong research abilities and understanding of RFP sourcing and evaluation
  • Familiarity with freelance marketplaces and bidding strategies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and work independently under pressure
  • Analytical thinker with attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving attitude
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
