Boiler Engineer Position

The selected Boiler Engineer will serve as part of a team in Pakistan under the supervision of a Chief Safety Officer and CEO.

Based at our Karachi office, you will spend most of your time in the field and at workplaces in assigned areas. The Boiler Engineers are crucial to the practical execution of safety inspections, remediation, verification, and technical consultation components.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct factory inspections according to the Pakistan Accord Building Standard.
  2. Prepare detailed inspection reports following Pakistan Accord protocols.
  3. Provide engineering input and support for inspection, remediation, and training programs.
  4. Support representatives from factories, workers' groups, and brands with technical queries.
  5. Assist leadership with scheduling and coordination with external inspection companies to ensure efficient inspections.
  6. Facilitate communication and coordination among brands, factory owners, workers, and Accord leadership regarding inspections and remediation plans.
  7. Conduct follow-up inspections to verify timely and effective completion of remediation plans.
  8. Identify and report any issues, obstacles, or challenges related to the execution of remediation/corrective action plans.
  9. Collaborate with the Accord training and complaints handling teams as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:

Applicants should have strong academic credentials and relevant qualifications in engineering fields such as Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.

  • Recent graduates (0–2 years of experience) with a degree in one of these fields are encouraged to apply.
  • A Postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline will be considered an advantage, especially for candidates with limited work experience.
  • Familiarity with national and international safety standards is preferred but not mandatory for junior applicants.
