IT Support Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled IT professional to provide comprehensive support across multiple locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing IT operations, including desktop, network, and server support, backup management, and troubleshooting technical issues.

Mandatory Skillsets

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in computer hardware, operating systems, software, and networking is essential.
  • IT Support Experience: Proven experience in IT support roles, diagnosing and resolving technical issues is required.
  • Desktop & Network Support: Ability to support and maintain laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, and basic networking functions is necessary.
  • System Maintenance: Experience with setting up and configuring laptops/desktops, applying security patches, antivirus installation, and troubleshooting hardware issues is mandatory.
  • Backup & Recovery: Skilled in managing backups, tape rotation, and Exchange server mailbox maintenance, including archiving.
  • User Management: Responsible for setting up new users and disabling expired accounts as per HR requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Able to provide step-by-step troubleshooting instructions to users and handle remote support effectively.

Desirable Skillsets

  • MAC Support: Experience providing support for MAC PCs and other office IT equipment.
  • Networking Skills: Familiarity with creating network cables (Cat 6), patching of networks, and IP phones.
  • Project Experience: Experience with small- to medium-sized IT projects.
  • Ticketing Systems: Experience with raising and following up on tickets within SLA guidelines.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of IT support experience, including hardware, software, and networking.
  • Availability: Willingness to travel between locations and provide on-call support outside of normal working hours.
