This role is responsible for facilitating access to healthcare services by ensuring timely and accurate verification of patient benefits. Key responsibilities include verifying patient benefits, communicating with insurance carriers, and resolving coverage queries.
Responsibilities:- Verify patient benefits for smooth appointment scheduling and access to healthcare services.
- Communicate with other carrier groups regarding insurance coverage and resolve queries.
- Research insurance coverage with various carriers to gather eligibility information and resolve claims disputes.
- Liaise between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance carriers to ensure accurate information collection and measure implementation.
- Obtain referrals and authorizations for procedures and services as required.
- Treat all patients and staff with compassion and empathy.
- Recognize and respect cultural diversity.
- Adapt communication to an individual's ability to understand.
- Use medical terminology appropriately.
- Respond to communications within a reasonable time frame.
- Project a professional manner and image.
