
Hospital Security Professional

As a Hospital Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
- You will enforce hospital security regulations and continuously monitor for potential safety hazards and unusual occurrences through regular patrol of assigned areas.
- Investigating complaints or potential criminal conduct is also an essential part of this role, as well as assisting in restraining patients when necessary.
- Possessing excellent customer service skills is vital, particularly when interacting with diverse individuals from different age groups and cultures.
- You will also be responsible for patrolling assigned areas, identifying unsafe conditions and improperly secured property to prevent theft, injuries, or damages to Hospital property.
- Maintaining confidentiality standards at all times is crucial in this position.
- Investigations into thefts, shortages, and other complaints involving potential criminal misconduct will be conducted by questioning individuals involved and notifying appropriate law enforcement agencies.
- You will also prepare and submit written reports in a complete and accurate manner and maintain accountability for valuables/property and forms of evidence coming into your custody.
- This role involves working as a Dispatcher utilizing 'state-of-the-art' integrated security systems, radio dispatching personnel to respond to occurrences and phone calls for assistance.
- You will participate in assistance with workplace and domestic victims, responding to medical emergencies, and controlling pedestrian and vehicular traffic when authorized.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice is preferred.
- Experience in hospital, security/police, emergency medical, or customer services is required, preferably 3-5 years.

- You will display a positive image, tact, and diplomacy, active listening, and articulate communication.
- Demonstrating an understanding of community policing, risk analysis, and crime prevention concepts and practices is essential.
Additional Requirements:
- Intermediate computer skills, including typing and use of database software.
- Voluntary participation in departmental committees, task forces, and teams is also encouraged.
