The Position

We are seeking a skilled Data Management Expert to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing and maintaining MS SQL Server database systems, including database migrations, backups, performance tuning, capacity planning, and monitoring critical events.

This role requires strong collaboration skills, as you will work closely with our teams to ensure smooth communication during database-related events.

Responsibilities:

  • Create new database environments and migrate from legacy systems.
  • Manage and maintain database systems for optimal performance, availability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot SQL Server issues, including authentication, backups, triggers, database mail, indexing, and auditing.
  • Promote best practices for data privacy and database security.
  • Develop SQL Server scripts, stored procedures, and packages.
  • Collaborate with teams to provide DBA support.
  • Plan and implement database migrations and contribute to automation efforts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience with SQL Server certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of T-SQL, SSMS, Windows OS, and database schema management.
  • Experience with RDBMS (MS SQL Server) and on-premises database management.
  • Expertise in data modeling, database design, and performance tuning.
  • Ability to review T-SQL code and work with SQL Server implementations.
  • Experience in database migrations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of backup and recovery strategies.
  • Knowledge of database security and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with virtual machines in access-controlled environments is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
