Job Title: Network and Systems Support Specialist

Oxbridge Digital is seeking a highly skilled IT professional to join our team as a Network and Hardware Support Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Manage and troubleshoot network and hardware issues at assigned locations, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal system performance.
  • Understand and address the complexities of corporate infrastructure, including network connectivity, internet access, email, and other critical systems.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to corporate WAN and LAN, collaborating with internal teams to deliver timely solutions.
  • Support corporate applications, internal servers, user desktops, printers, scanners, and other essential equipment, providing expert guidance and assistance as needed.
  • Contribute to basic troubleshooting, backup, and archiving efforts, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Assist in installing and improving computer software and network equipment, staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends.
  • Respond promptly to trouble calls/emails, entering work orders into our tracking software and communicating effectively with internal clients.
  • Interact professionally with internal clients, maintaining confidentiality and resolving help desk issues efficiently.
  • Prepare network deployments for university functions nationwide, leveraging expertise to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Update Anti-Virus Definitions, safeguarding Oxbridge Digital's systems from potential threats.
  • Collaborate with the Network Administrator or Manager to deploy new servers, rebuild or reorganize crashed services or servers, and optimize overall system performance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized institution/university, complemented by more than 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Proven track record of managing network and hardware troubleshooting at assigned locations.
  • Ability to support corporate applications, internal servers, user desktops, printers, scanners, and other essential equipment.
  • Expertise in installing and improving computer software and network equipment.
  • Excellent written communication skills, enabling the preparation of clear, coherent, grammatically correct, and engaging business correspondence.
