We are seeking a highly skilled senior backend engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Laravel and Python (FastAPI) and be passionate about building intelligent, scalable backend systems.

  • Key responsibilities include architecting and implementing scalable, secure backend services in Laravel and Python (FastAPI), building high-availability REST APIs with robust authentication, rate-limiting, and logging, and integrating deeply with third-party APIs.

About the role:

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in building complex system integrations, working closely with product and engineering teams to bring transformative experiences to life.

Bonus skills include working knowledge of Vue.js and modern JavaScript tools, experience with GraphQL, familiarity with event-driven architectures, and message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven track record of building enterprise-grade APIs and integrations with platforms like Wafeq, QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho, and CRMs.
  • Strong expertise in MySQL, including query optimization, indexing, and data migrations.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM) for cloud-native deployments.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipeline automation.
  • Solid experience integrating and managing payment gateways such as Stripe, Paymob, etc.
  • Strong command of asynchronous programming, background jobs, and task queues.
