We are seeking a skilled Food Preparation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our food services department, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for patients, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

  • Preparing and cooking hot entrees according to standardized recipes or as directed
  • Ensuring the quality, texture, and flavor of patient and non-patient meals meet set standards
  • Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, including proper usage and maintenance of equipment
  • Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas and equipment regularly
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A strong background in cookery, preferably with formal training or certification
  • At least four years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of menu planning, recipe development, and quantity cooking techniques
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation principles
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
