Senior Software Developer Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in architecting, developing, and deploying Java-based applications using IBM Rational Application Developer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing on-time deliverables with minimal rework and reported issues. They will also manage and maintain server infrastructure on Windows, develop RESTful APIs, write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to best practices, conduct code reviews, and contribute to the enhancement of code quality.

The position requires a strong foundation in object-oriented programming principles, extensive hands-on experience with Java, and advanced proficiency in developing web applications using Java. Familiarity with agile software development practices and DevOps methodologies is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect, develop, and deploy Java-based applications using IBM Rational Application Developer.
  • Produce on-time deliverables with minimal rework and reported issues.
  • Manage and maintain server infrastructure on Windows.
  • Develop RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange between frontend and backend systems.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and contribute to the enhancement of code quality.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, or related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Java development, with a strong foundation in object-oriented programming principles.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Java.
  • Advanced proficiency in developing web applications using Java.
Nice to Have:
  • Familiarity with agile software development practices.
  • Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and associated tools.
