Senior WASH Implementation Specialist

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the implementation of our WASH program. You will be responsible for delivering assessments, planning, design, implementation, supervision, expansion/development, management of resources and administration of technical interventions under the WASH program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments and analysis to identify gaps in our WASH response.
  • Support the transition between identified needs into activity plans and budgets ensuring a cohesive approach.
  • Deliver the implementation of the aims and objectives of the WASH response program in line with WASH strategy.
  • Prepare a clear link between hardware and software WASH activities ensuring efficient outcomes.
  • Ensure SPHERE standards are considered through the program cycle and well documented.
  • Work closely with the Human Resources team to build the capacity of the national WASH team.
  • Provide training for the WASH staff on community mobilization, hygiene promotion and data management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in water and sanitation engineering, civil engineering or relevant technical specialization.
  • At least three years' experience designing and implementing hygiene promotion systems in IDPs, refugee and migrant contexts.
  • Two years' experience supervising international staff, partners and donors.
