Climate Resilience Expert Lead

The International Rescue Committee is a global humanitarian aid, development, and advocacy organization. Our mission is to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster.
This role focuses on improving institutional planning, resource management, budget allocation, and implementation of policies across different government levels.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the programme team in thematic areas related to evidence-based institutional strengthening for climate resilience and adaptation.
- Convene and involve stakeholders and government authorities at various levels to improve climate resilience and adaptation policies and institutions.
Key requirements include:
- 10-15 years of experience in designing, implementing, and providing technical support for climate resilience, mitigation, and adaptation in Pakistan.
- Proficient in relevant national and international policies and frameworks, including NDCs, National Adaptation Plans, COP agreements, Sustainable Development Goals, Climate Change Policy, and the Climate Change Act.
- Strong understanding of key disaster risk reduction frameworks, the National DRR Act, and the political economy and operational hierarchy of disaster management in Pakistan.
