Regional Business Development Manager Job Description

This Regional Business Development Manager role involves leading business growth initiatives in the assigned region by expanding market presence, building strong customer relationships and ensuring sales revenue and profitability targets are met.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new markets and accounts through existing relationships and building new ones in the food service channel. They will also identify market potential to establish new accounts and achieve sales targets.

  • Achieve food service sales volume, revenue and profitability goals.
  • Activate local marketplace initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate pricing and contracts with customers to meet quality, timeliness and cost standards.
  • Manage distributors to provide services to clients effectively.
  • Develop and communicate the annual food service plan with stakeholders.
  • Build strong business relationships with key stakeholders such as owners, chefs and purchase managers.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of account managers to pursue prospects, promote products and achieve sales targets.
Requirements
  • Graduate degree preferred.
  • 4-6 years relevant experience with a proven track record in developing markets, managing distributors and achieving sales targets.
  • Deep understanding of food service channel dynamics and customer needs.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with key stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in coaching and developing teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical mindset and negotiation skills.
