Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, hardworking, and energetic individual to manage our growing parts department. The ideal candidate must be experienced in parts and distribution, detail-oriented, a problem solver with superior customer service skills.

This person should be capable of working in an active environment and be able to implement new systems to better distribute parts to our employees and customers.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, commercial, and wholesale accounts.
  • Assist in establishing pricing parameters in each customer category that generate sufficient gross profit while maintaining customer loyalty.
  • Establish individual parts inventory levels and balance them for maximum turnover.
  • Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence.
  • Evaluate all returned or warranty parts for proper tagging and full credit recovery from the factory.
  • Assist in supervising stock order procedures.
  • Ensure technicians are adequately supplied with all necessary parts and materials.
  • Oversee purchasing of supplies and materials for the Service Department.
  • Adhere to policy on special ordering of parts.
  • Analyze sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals.
  • Administer an aggressive wholesale and retail parts program to produce profit.
  • Promote high-quality service for both outside and internal customers.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Service Managers to ensure timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.
  • Assist in analyzing departmental operations and storage layout for maximum effectiveness.
  • Provide technical assistance to employees and customers.
  • Coordinate prompt, efficient, and timely flow of paperwork.
  • Direct shipping and receiving efforts to ensure timely processing.
  • Assist in developing sales promotions and seeking out new parts business.
  • Enforce and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum satisfaction.
  • Handle customer complaints immediately according to company guidelines.
  • Verify all dealership purchases before payment is made.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
