Research Position in Medicine at a Top University

The Department of Medicine comprises independent sections of Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Nephrology, Neurology, and Pulmonary & Critical Care. With over 70+ full-time Faculty members, the department has a strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate education and research. Residency Programmes are offered in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Adult Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonary Medicine, Nephrology, and Dermatology, as well as Fellowship Programmes in Clinical Neurophysiology & Electrodiagnostic Medicine, Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism, Interventional Cardiology, and Infectious Diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a research project focusing on cardiovascular disease, stroke, or their risk factors, supported by a prestigious grant.
  • Publish two manuscripts as a first author within a two-year tenure.
  • Disseminate research findings to wider audiences through various channels.
  • Participate in national and international research conferences and symposiums.
  • Contribute to team-based project brainstorming and operationalization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent with a minimum of 16 years of education in Science subjects.
  • Commitment to practice Data Science in the NCD health domain.
  • Experience working at an academic institution/university as a research faculty member is preferred.
  • Long-term commitment to NCD research and interest in the field is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, commitment to learning, growth, and self-development.
  • Ability to work in teams, maintain integrity, and adhere to strong research ethics.
  • Track record of demonstrated scholarship through research and publication.
  • Obtained research grants or publications are desirable.
  • Good teaching skills, knowledge of new teaching methodologies, and practices.
  • Academic writing skills and proficiency in related computer software packages.
  • Ability to build and promote partnerships across the organization and beyond.
