Quality Assurance Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance (QA) specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, developing, and implementing quality assurance practices and procedures as well as test plans.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and assist in writing test cases
    • Perform acceptance tests of user stories on a daily basis
    • Carry out exploratory testing within an agile development environment
    • Conduct end-to-end tests in relation to larger releases with external stakeholders
    • Lead the squad's test strategy and efforts, e.g., taking the initiative to automate processes and coaching others
    • Participate in scrum ceremonies and undertake sprint tasks – these include:
      • SUPPORTING the development of test plans
      • Creation of tests – both manual and automated
      • Reviewing of stories, code, and tests
      • Execution of tests at all stages of the lifecycle
  • Processes and Procedures:
    • Own the process during test periods where functionality is tested across multiple departments
    • Be an active participant in grooming and planning, ensuring that acceptance criteria are testable
  • Collaboration and Support:
    • Work together with designers, SMEs, and Product Owners while user stories are developed, bringing input and helping with the testing aspect
    • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and support engineers to correctly identify priorities and resolve issues
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
    • Experience with writing and automating test cases
    • QA work across Ecommerce platforms and mobile applications
    • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
    • Familiarity with Java / Python / Golang / Node JS
    • Cypress or any other Web JavaScript-based automation tool
    • Understanding of mobile automation tools like XCUITest/Espresso/Detox/Appium
    • Familiarity with API automation tools like RESTAssured/Pytest/UniRest
    • Knowledge of performance and load testing tools like Locust, Gatling, K6
    • Experience in CI/CD tools like Jenkins/CircleCI/Azure pipeline/Bitrise
    • Strong knowledge of web and app-based testing and architecture
    • Awareness of load testing and security testing concepts
    • Basic knowledge of Linux, shell scripting, and databases
    • Alignment with working in agile best practices
    • Familiarity with infrastructure knowledge in AWS/GCP/AZURE
  • Functional Skills:
    • Proficiency in English with strong communication skills and ability to interact and influence at all levels
    • Strong understanding of quality assurance and testing processes within an Agile environment
    • Deep knowledge of testing concepts, processes, and activities
    • Excellent problem-solving, planning, analytical, and documentation skills
    • Strong team player and able to participate in Release deployments to production
    • Passion about delivering high-quality features and end-to-end scenarios
    • Reporting and tracking bugs
  • Minimum Qualification/Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software design, management information systems engineering, or related field and/or relevant direct job experience
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience in QA of ECOM/Magento/Salesforce
