Job Title: Fiber Optic Cable Splicer

Objective:

We are seeking an experienced Fiber Optic Cable Splicer to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for splicing fiber optic cables in various settings, maintaining accurate records, and supporting project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read, create, and maintain splicing schematics and diagrams.
  • Control outside plant (OSP) activities surrounding assigned work sites.
  • Take and maintain accurate splicing and field notes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have a Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) or Intermediate degree.
  • Relevant certifications in optical fiber transmission systems and cable splicing.

Familiarity with:

  • Cable jacket strippers.
  • Buffer tube slitters.
  • Cleavers from Fujikura and Sumitomo.

Preferred skills include experience with MS-Excel and MS-Visio, negotiating and coordination, team spirit, and independence.
