Job Title:

Procurement Manager – Local Acquisitions

Role Summary:

This position supports the order management head in planning, coordinating, and monitoring procurement activities for goods, supplies, equipment, and containers from local sources. It also manages procurement of vendorized goods related to meter manufacturing. Ensures procurement processes comply with regulatory policies and guidelines.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Participate in developing procurement strategies and procedures for local acquisitions.
  2. Develop procurement plans in coordination with user departments, considering market trends, lead times, delivery schedules, trade terms, and supplier locations.
  3. Ensure ordered goods meet specified requirements; obtain necessary approvals for deviations or amendments.
  4. Makes tender announcements following regulatory guidelines.
  5. Reviews bid evaluations and ensures timely submission as per scheduled timelines.
  6. Manages real-time tracking of local procurement and utilizes digitization modules effectively.
  7. Maintains and updates supplier databases regularly.
  8. Provides timely procurement and vendor management information to relevant departments.
  9. Maintains accurate records for bills, bid bonds, and performance bonds.
  10. Overses invoice processing and coordinates with the Finance Department for budget preparations.
  11. Assists in handling audit queries with proper documentation.
  12. Identifies, assesses, and develops responses for risks under management.
  13. Monitors risks and response strategies, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
