We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

This is a remote, full-time position that involves designing, building, testing, optimizing, and maintaining the infrastructure and code required for data integration, storage, processing, pipelines, and analytics.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in programming and integrating/managing data across various storage systems and technologies.

You will be responsible for leading the work in Data & Analytics, helping from backlog definition to architecture decisions, and leading technical work for the team with minimal oversight.



Key Responsibilities
  • Design highly scalable and efficient data architectures, defining standards and best practices for data management independently.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve data integration, processing, and analysis.
  • Mentor junior/mid-level data engineers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop solutions.
  • Solve complex data engineering issues and resolve bottlenecks in SQL queries and database operations.
  • Conduct discovery on existing Data Infrastructure and Proposed Architecture.
  • Evaluate, design, and implement data governance solutions: cataloging, lineage, quality, and frameworks that are suitable for modern analytics.
  • Define and document data engineering architectures, processes, and data flows.
