Job Title:

Medical Officer Day Care Oncology

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Medical Officer to join our team in Day Care Oncology at Clifton Medical Services. As a Medical Officer, you will be responsible for assessing patients before and during chemotherapy administration, prescribing post-chemotherapy medications, and performing outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

You will also participate in outpatient clinics and patient management under supervision, ensure proper documentation of medical records, and effectively communicate with patients and consultants.

In addition, you will actively participate in journal clubs and continuous medical education, work and coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other allied health professionals.

Your role will involve performing patient evaluations, investigations, and management to maintain consistent high clinical quality and service standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients before and during chemotherapy administration
  • Preset chemotherapeutics in accordance with consultants' advice
  • Prescribe post-chemotherapy medications
  • Perform outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Participate in outpatient clinics and patient management under supervision
  • Ensure proper documentation of medical records
  • Effectively communicate with patients and consultants
  • Actively participate in journal clubs and continuous medical education
  • Work and coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Perform patient evaluations, investigations, and management
Requirements:
  • MBBS degree and additional diploma (MCPS, FCPS-I, or MRCP-I)
  • At least two to three years of relevant experience
  • A valid license from Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC)
  • Ability to work independently and with teams
  • Ability to work under pressure on different rotations/shifts
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A valid BLS certificate
