Job Title: Backend Developer

About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Backend Developer with 3–5 years of professional experience to join our team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems using Python frameworks. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build secure, high-performance applications, while ensuring code quality, system reliability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Backend Development: Design, build, and maintain backend applications using Python (Django, Flask, or FastAPI).
  • API Development & Integration: Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party systems to enable seamless data exchange.
  • Database Management: Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL solutions to design efficient schemas and optimize performance.
  • System Performance & Scalability: Troubleshoot, optimize, and scale applications to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Code Quality & Standards: Write clean, reusable, and testable code; participate in peer reviews and follow coding best practices.
  • Testing & CI/CD: Implement automated testing frameworks (PyTest, Unittest) and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, QA, frontend developers, and DevOps teams to deliver complete solutions.
  • Problem Solving: Debug and resolve complex issues; recommend improvements in architecture and development processes.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Backend Developer; proven expertise in Python frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI); experience in API development, backend systems, and integrations.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Python and object-oriented programming; proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL); familiarity with NoSQL databases; experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes); hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD tools; familiarity with asynchronous programming (Celery, RabbitMQ, Kafka) is a plus.
