Business Development Manager

Role Overview

The Business Development Manager–Analytics role involves handling data analysis and database management for the Commercial team.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Database Management:
    • Acquire business intelligence from primary or secondary sources and maintain databases/data systems.
    • Work with management to prioritize business objectives.
    • Compile and store key performance indicators pertaining to International Merchandising & Sourcing departments.
    • Extract insights in response to incoming requests and ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Merchandising Data:
    • Monitor sourcing metrics and analyze financial impact of pricing strategy.
    • Work with management to prioritize business needs.
    • Develop and review vendor pricing and provide it to merchandising teams.
    • Monitor specific merchandising processes, collect data, and prepare reports.
  • Category Comparison:
    • Monitor and analyze profitability for pricing strategy.
    • Assist strategic planning process with required information.
    • Develop databases and metrics to conduct comparative studies.
  • Benchmarking and Reporting:
    • Conduct benchmarking studies based on merchandising department needs.
    • Post relevant insights to management information systems.
    • Prepare periodical reports and analyze efficiency.
  • System Management:
    • Identify system failures and escalate immediately.
    • Implement policies and procedures for effectively managing information systems.
