Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Recovery Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for recovering customer debts in accordance with regulatory guidelines and bank policies.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to manage multiple accounts effectively, and ensure compliance with fair debt collection practices and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recover customer debts in accordance with regulatory guidelines and bank policies.
  • Achieve monthly targets by effectively managing allocated accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with fair debt collection practices and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain accurate records of all updates in the customer relationship management system and communicate with customers as required.
  • Engage with customers in a timely manner to resolve outstanding liabilities and facilitate payment arrangements.
  • Comply with established procedures for contacting customers within prescribed time frames.
  • Address customer complaints and queries efficiently and escalate complex issues to supervisors when necessary.
  • Initiate litigation proceedings when negotiations are deemed unsuccessful.
  • Meet service standards at an agreed level and adhere to provided guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements to drive continuous improvement.
  • Regularly update recovery activities in the in-house collection system.
  • Seek guidance from seniors as needed and assume additional responsibilities assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new software quickly.
