Job Description

The Human Resources Officer is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the HR department at the plant. This includes recruiting, maintaining employee relations, attendance and payroll support, compliance and general administration.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Recruitment & Onboarding
    • Collaborate with Plant Manager and Head Office HR to develop manpower plans.
    • Execute recruitment processes for plant-level staff including job postings, screening, shortlisting and interviews.
    • Ensure proper onboarding and induction for new employees.
  2. Attendance & Payroll Support
    • Monitor daily attendance records for all plant employees.
    • Verify overtime, shift and leave records for accurate payroll processing.
    • Share monthly payroll data with Head Office HR.
  3. Employee Relations & Engagement
    • Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries.
    • Handle grievances, conflicts and disciplinary matters in accordance with company policy.
    • Support initiatives to motivate and engage employees.
  4. Compliance & Record Keeping
    • Maintain accurate employee personal files and HR records.
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws, EOBI and other statutory requirements.
    • Assist in audits related to HR and administrative functions.
  5. Training & Development
    • Identify skill gaps at the plant level and coordinate training programs with Head Office.
    • Support the execution of safety and compliance training sessions.
  6. Administration Support
    • Oversee plant-level administrative tasks such as canteen management, transport and stationery.
    • Coordinate with Head Office for procurement and administrative approvals.
