Assistant Professor of Nursing

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor of Nursing. This is a key leadership role in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, responsible for teaching, research, and service.

The successful candidate will have a PhD or DNSc degree, with a strong background in nursing education, research, and clinical practice. They will be expected to develop and teach courses, conduct research, and provide academic and professional guidance to students.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate a passion for mentoring and guiding students towards their career goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching & Learning:
    • Develop and deliver high-quality courses that meet the needs of students and the institution's accreditation standards.
    • Mentor junior faculty members in course development and teaching practices.
    • Conduct research and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Student Engagement:
    • Provide academic and professional guidance to students, including advising on course selection and career goals.
    • Support student learning by providing feedback and encouragement.
  • Research & Publications:
    • Conduct independent and collaborative research studies, including proposal writing, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
    • Publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Leadership & Administration:
    • Participate in departmental and institutional committees, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.
    • Lead or contribute significantly to projects and initiatives related to education, research, and service.

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • PhD or DNSc degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 4 years of experience in nursing education, research, and clinical practice.
  • Skills & Qualifications:
    • Strong background in nursing education, research, and clinical practice.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Passion for mentoring and guiding students.
    • Commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service.
