Finance Project Manager Role

We are seeking a skilled Finance Project Manager to specialize in financial reporting and analysis for construction-related initiatives. This role is instrumental in providing valuable insights that support strategic decision-making, optimize project outcomes, and ensure alignment with key objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Lead the preparation and analysis of project financial reports, including cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis for construction projects.
  • Feasibility Studies: Develop comprehensive feasibility studies and business cases to evaluate the financial viability of proposed construction initiatives.
  • Collaboration and Financial Oversight: Partner with project managers, engineers, and operations teams to provide financial guidance throughout project lifecycles.
  • Risk Management and Budgeting: Monitor and report on project budgets, schedules, and risks, ensuring timely escalation of financial concerns.
  • Capital Expenditure Planning: Support capital expenditure planning and ensure alignment with financial controls and internal approval processes.
  • Strategic Investment Decisions: Conduct scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis to support strategic investment decisions.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Prepare and present clear, data-driven insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Compliance and Process Improvement: Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, while contributing to process improvements and implementation of best practices in financial project reporting and analysis.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Professional Certification: ACCA, ACA or CFA qualification
  • Experience in Financial Analysis: 7+ years of experience in financial analysis, with a strong background in project finance or construction accounting
  • Feasibility Analysis and Capital Project Reporting: Proven experience in feasibility analysis and capital project reporting
  • Financial Modeling Tools: Proficient in financial modeling tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar)
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Large-Scale Construction Projects: Experience working on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
  • Project Management Principles and Software: Knowledge of project management principles and software (e.g., SAP S4 Hana)
