About the Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Coder to join our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for extracting relevant data from patient records, examining documents for missing information, and assigning medical codes.
- Extracting pertinent information from patient records
- Examining documents for missing details
- Assigning CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and ASA codes
- Assigning APC and DRG codes
- Evaluating the accuracy of documents and ensuring they are free from errors
- Providing training and guidance to physicians and staff on medical coding as needed
- Notifying supervisors of issues with equipment and computer programs
- Ensuring compliance with medical coding standards and guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
