IT Infrastructure Manager Job Description

BSTec Limited is expanding its client base across the UK and abroad, seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to oversee the development and maintenance of our in-house systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and develop our in-house IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and efficient use of resources.
  • Provide remote IT support to clients, addressing technical issues promptly and resolving complex problems efficiently.
  • Regularly conduct routine health checks and intrusion detection to safeguard our systems and prevent potential security breaches.
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge, ensuring they have the necessary expertise to meet the demands of the role.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to source software and hardware that meet our needs and those of our clients, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Identify opportunities to add value to BSTec and contribute to its growth, by implementing innovative solutions and best practices.
  • Assume other duties as required by the company, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
Job Specification:
  • Expertise in Networking is essential for this role, with a strong understanding of VOIP, Asterisk, and Elastix technologies.
  • Proficiency in CCNA and MCSE certification is highly desirable, demonstrating a high level of technical expertise.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are necessary, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues efficiently and effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of Elastix and Microsoft Server platforms, including Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2008 (all editions), and Exchange Servers.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information securely, with a strong commitment to data protection and privacy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
