Job Title: Financial Controller

A detail-oriented and strategic Financial Controller is required to oversee accounting and financial operations for a retail chain of stores and gas stations across the United States.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, driving operational efficiencies, and supporting strategic business decisions.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across multiple locations.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements such as tax, fuel reporting, and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures to safeguard assets.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Collaborate with store and station managers to optimize inventory management and control costs.
  • Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Implement financial systems and tools to enhance automation and reporting.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support growth and profitability.
