Job Summary:

Anesthesia Professor positions available at a prestigious institution.

  • Lead and mentor students in lectures, seminars, and clinical & practical skills small group discussions.
  • Guide postgraduate trainees (FCPS and DCPS) in clinical presentations, small group discussions, case-based & problem-based teaching, journal clubs, and psychomotor skills development.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Department/Professor in organizing clinical meetings and conferences with other professional organizations.
  • Establish a research environment for faculty members and postgraduate trainees through continuous education and learning opportunities.
  • Enhance clinical and practical skills of students by conveying knowledge on basic patient care management, emergency treatment, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of Department in conducting examinations of MBBS/BDS students.
  • Provide regular OPD sessions for continuing medical care and manage/supervise new patients referred for specialist advice.
  • Conduct clinical rounds in the ward to monitor patient progress and provide necessary supervision.
  • Offer specialist advice on medical problems referred from other departments.
  • Evaluate patients in the emergency department as needed.
  • Ensure on-call commitments after regular duty hours for critical patient care.
  • Participate in departmental confidential inquiries regarding mortalities.
  • Supervise and train paramedical staff to deliver quality health services and enhance patient management skills.
  • Manage the department's duty roster, including paramedical staff, and resolve staff placement issues.
  • Maintain liaison with hospital administration to ensure proper ward management and address related concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Associate / Assistant Professor - Anesthesia degree.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
