
Cotton Commodity Position Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our logistics and execution team, overseeing trade-related documentation and operations across the entire value chain.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing trade contracts, purchase & sale invoices, delivery challans, delivery orders, and goods receipt notes, as well as coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to procure commodities effectively.
You will be responsible for supervising cotton execution documents, managing field selectors, and calculating daily Mark to Market (MTM) counterparty risk.
- Oversee trade-related documentation and operations, including trade contracts, purchase & sale invoices, delivery challans, delivery orders, and goods receipt notes.
- Supervise cotton execution documents and manage field selectors, ensuring seamless coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Calculate daily MTM counterparty risk and provide insights for informed decision-making.
- Coordinate with the finance department to perform tasks such as booking purchases, sales, transfers, etc., in the system.
- Verify all documents for accuracy, including sales tax calculations, transport documentation like road permits/way-bills, carrier responsibilities, and dispatch documentation.
- Perform book closing procedures, including monthly stock reconciliation, physical stock verification, and preparing monthly stock reports.
- Communicate with all stakeholders involved in the commodity trade, such as brokers, ginners, customers, and commodity selectors.
- Verify vendor/service provider bills against work orders for correctness and authenticity.
- Review legal documents regarding scope and expiry, and amend them as per regulatory, business, or legal needs.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation for future reference and audits.
- Release reports on a daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly, and yearly basis.
- Maintain and update the inventory file daily.
- Manage commodity positions.
- Assist in commodity imports.
- Escalate issues to higher levels when necessary.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
- 6-8 years of experience in domestic execution.
