We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable individual to support our accountancy practice in Lahore. The role involves handling bookkeeping, preparing and filing statutory accounts, and submitting VAT returns for UK-based clients. This position requires a good understanding of accounting principles, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using UK-compliant bookkeeping software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with UK accounting standards (FRS 102, FRS 105).
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns under UK HMRC guidelines, including knowledge of Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements.
  • Communicate directly with clients to collect necessary information, resolve queries, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Support year-end procedures and audits by preparing working papers and documentation as required, staying updated with changes in UK tax legislation, accounting standards, and HMRC requirements.
Requirements:
  1. A graduate from a reputable university with a finance-related degree is preferred.
  2. Proficient in English written and spoken.
  3. Competent in the use of accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
  4. Excellent organizational skills.
  5. Adaptable and flexible to work needs.
