We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable individual to support our accountancy practice in Lahore. The role involves handling bookkeeping, preparing and filing statutory accounts, and submitting VAT returns for UK-based clients. This position requires a good understanding of accounting principles, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using UK-compliant bookkeeping software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
- Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with UK accounting standards (FRS 102, FRS 105).
- Prepare and submit VAT returns under UK HMRC guidelines, including knowledge of Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements.
- Communicate directly with clients to collect necessary information, resolve queries, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Support year-end procedures and audits by preparing working papers and documentation as required, staying updated with changes in UK tax legislation, accounting standards, and HMRC requirements.
- A graduate from a reputable university with a finance-related degree is preferred.
- Proficient in English written and spoken.
- Competent in the use of accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Adaptable and flexible to work needs.
