Project Manager - Wheat Flour Fortification

The role of the Provincial Project Manager is to ensure the successful implementation of the Wheat Flour Fortification program in Sindh province. The successful candidate will work closely with government departments, industry representatives, NGOs, and other stakeholders to achieve the project's objectives.

About the Role

  • Support the Country Director and National Project Manager in creating provincial implementation plans and ongoing annual plans for the Wheat Flour Fortification program.
  • Supervise Zonal Managers to ensure activities at the provincial and district levels align with project objectives.
  • Assist in developing a mill induction and retention process in consultation with NI's NPM Wheat Flour Fortification, provincial food departments, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide technical assistance to provincial and district Departments of Food, Health, and other government departments, as well as the wheat flour industry.
  • Ensure active participation and representation in provincial-level committees or technical working groups related to food fortification and wheat flour fortification.
  • Represent NI at various relevant forums at the provincial and district levels as requested by the National Project Manager and Country Director.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree in social sciences, medicine, nutrition, public health, public administration, international development, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of working experience with an international development organization, preferably in the field of health and nutrition.
  • Program management experience, preferably in nutrition.
  • Fluency in English and Urdu.
