Crisis Intervention Specialist


Job Description

This role is a vital part of our organization's mission to provide free, confidential short-term emotional support and crisis intervention services. The specialist will work independently and as part of a team rotation, providing critical resources and support to individuals in crisis.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with callers, coworkers, and supervisors. They must also be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide free, confidential short-term emotional support and crisis intervention services
  • Undergo extensive training in crisis counseling, information & referral, and suicide prevention
  • Answer inquiries via phone, text, and chat
  • Maintain regularly scheduled full-time shifts, either night shift, day shift, or a combination of the two
