As a senior purchasing specialist, you will play a key role in supporting and participating in vendor contract negotiations. This includes assisting supervisors, buyers, and staff with problem resolution related to vendor performance, product performance, or invoice issues/discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify areas for improvement, and implement balancing measures where possible.
  • Review minimum and maximum order quantities for appropriateness of current assignments and implement changes accordingly.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement feasible solutions.
  • Provide regular reports on daily, weekly, or monthly basis as requested by senior management.
  • Analyze purchases for appropriateness of volume, vendor selection, and frequency in conjunction with departmental guidelines and corporate inventory goals.
  • Initiate product source changes and/or negotiations to ensure acquisition at best possible cost.
Job Specification

Educational Requirement: Bachelor's degree in a business-related field (Master's degree in Supply Chain Management preferred)
