Senior Software Developer Position

As a seasoned software engineer and integration specialist, you will design scalable solutions that meet the needs of our organization. Your role involves pulling data from external systems using APIs and driving analytical dashboards.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining existing systems and platforms by performing ongoing support and enhancements.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex engineering problems.
  • Improving technology and consistently practicing as part of a dynamic team.
  • Implementing new features and changes requested by the product team.
  • Designing and implementing analytical dashboards for telecom billing data.
  • Architecting sophisticated business web applications in PHP/MySQL.
  • Working with REST API and integrating with API-based systems.
  • Supporting and enhancing an existing production system.
  • Documenting work in project management systems and tracking time spent on tasks.
  • Solving technical problems by utilizing full-stack web application development skills.
Requirements:
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Previous experience working in international software development companies.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical disciplines.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in managing enterprise-level MySQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience with API integrations.
  • Strong DevOps focus and experience building, deploying, and supporting infrastructure with cloud technologies.
  • Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience with Git and Subversion for source control management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong object-oriented design and coding skills using PHP on UNIX or Linux platforms.
  • Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and document technical challenges and solutions.
  • Capacity to think abstractly and handle ambiguous/undefined problems.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Linux operating system.
  • Experience working with relational database systems such as MySQL.
