We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Team Leader in our Operations department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in brokerage operations, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end activities of brokerage operations, ensuring timely submission of Management Information Systems (MIS) to stakeholders, and regulatory reporting to relevant bodies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling E2E activities as per laid down procedures and minimizing operational losses
- Timely submission of MIS to stakeholders
- Regulatory reporting to respective Regulatory bodies
Key Result Areas
The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
- Ensuring timely submission of regulatory reporting and responding to regulators in a timely manner
- Reporting HO trades done through Mashreq Securities to CAD for booking in HO books
- Execution and supervision of Corporate Actions related to DFM/ADX/NASDAQ markets and GCC markets without errors
- Handling NIN-related activities and stock transfers to and from the market
- Financial posting in the core system, including daily settlements and fund transfers
- Handling and resolving customer queries
- Preparation and timely execution of trade confirmations to customers
- Reconciliation of customer portfolios with Mashreq's portfolio with the market, including GCC markets, at agreed intervals
- Monitoring LTV throughout the day and reporting to TCM on shortfalls or margin calls
- Monitoring security exceptions, if any, as per regulatory and market requirements
- Recording and reconciling Market VAT and reporting to CAD for posting and settlement
- Ensuring timely submission of Annual Mashreq Securities Firm renewal with DFM & ADX
- Addressing and resolving Failed Trade Management under PCCP for DVP trades, if any, and ensuring all DVP trades are matched and settled timely
- Ensuring correct trade rules assigned to customers and updating them accordingly
- Handling IPO allocations post-product creation internally and reconciling the allocation with the market before listing date
- Reconciling TLM entries daily
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree from a recognized university
- At least 6 years of experience in a brokerage house of medium-sized entity
- Competence in using standard software used in the Bank, such as Globus, Flexcube, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- An understanding of product control activities for profit and loss calculations
- Excellent team working skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills
