As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, conducting regular financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and financial reporting standards.

This role requires expertise in accounting principles, financial analysis, and financial reporting. You will also need to prepare budgets, monitor expenditure, manage invoices, and ensure accurate and timely financial data recording.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Management: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Operations Oversight: Supervise and coordinate accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, areas of improvement, and potential risks.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to financial reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Accounting Principles: Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, prepare reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Budgeting and Financial Planning: Experience in preparing budgets, monitoring expenditure, and ensuring accurate and timely financial data recording.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the energy sector.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address financial issues.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and/or relevant certification such as CPA. Prior experience in the energy sector is advantageous but not required.
