MIS Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled MIS Manager to oversee the development and maintenance of our department's Management Information System (MIS). This key role involves ensuring accuracy, completeness, and security of organizational data.

The ideal candidate will have an MBA in MIS and 16 years of education, along with 04 years of relevant experience post-qualification. A Diploma in Information Technology and experience in the Oil and Gas Industry would be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Analysis and Reporting: Conduct remote data analysis to extract valuable insights and billing trends of industrial customers, generate comprehensive reports and returns, providing insightful analysis to support departmental goals and objectives.
  2. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and translate them into MIS requirements, staying abreast of industry best practices and technological advancements in MIS and data analytics.
  3. Stakeholder Alignment and Support: Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand data requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs, and provide training and support to departmental staff on MIS tools, remote data analysis, and reporting procedures.
  4. Data Quality and Security: Collect and clean large datasets from various sources to ensure data accuracy and completeness, perform statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in the data, and create and maintain reports and dashboards for key performance indicators.
  5. Communication and Presentation: Present findings through visualizations and communicate insights effectively, working closely with IT teams to ensure data availability and integrity.
  6. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization, undertaking any other MIS-related activities and responsibilities as assigned by senior management.
