Data Infrastructure Specialist

We are looking for a highly skilled professional to lead our data collection efforts. This key role is responsible for all aspects of data gathering to support model training operations.

Our ideal candidate should have expertise in building high-quality datasets at petabyte-scale and low cost through tight integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research work.

The successful individual will possess a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field, 5+ years of industry experience in software development, proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments, and experience with web crawlers, large-scale data processing workflows.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can navigate fast-paced environments, make informed product decisions, and deliver results consistently and efficiently.

A flat organizational structure allows anyone to become a leader by showcasing exceptional technical skills and meeting project goals quickly.

Work ethic, effective communication skills, and a drive to succeed are essential qualities for this position.

We're seeking an ambitious professional who can find new sources of audio data and integrate it into our ingestion pipeline.

Experience with Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts, as well as professional experience with major Cloud Providers (we use Google Cloud Platform), is highly desirable.

  • Identify new sources of audio data and incorporate them into our ingestion pipeline
  • Maintain and extend the cloud infrastructure for our ingestion pipeline, currently running on Google Cloud Platform and managed with Terraform
  • Collaborate closely with our Scientists to optimize the cost/throughput/quality frontier, delivering richer data at larger scales and lower costs to power our next-generation models
