Billing Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Billing Specialist to oversee the billing status of accounts, research and resolve inconsistencies and errors in billing, analyze billing documents and other data for accuracy and completeness, create and customize invoices as needed, review and validate credits and refunds, issue refunds, address payment disputes and chargebacks, evaluate the billing process and recommend improvements, ensure proper cutoff periods for month-end closing procedures, serve as the primary point of contact for billing-related support cases, provide accurate and timely reports, support vendor operations, and address any related concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage billing status of accounts
  • Analyze billing documents and data
  • Create and customize invoices
  • Review and validate credits and refunds
  • Evaluate billing process and recommend improvements
  • Ensure proper cutoff periods for month-end closing
  • Serve as primary point of contact for billing-related support cases
  • Provide accurate and timely reports

About the Role:

This role requires a thorough understanding of the Quote-to-Cash process, enabling you to troubleshoot any issues that may arise. You will also assist our sales team in an operational capacity to close sales and generate quotes. We are looking for an ambitious individual with strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy to join our team.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a billing or billing-related role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in ambiguous situations
  • Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets
