Environmental Health Program Manager

The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in Environmental Sciences or a related field. We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our health and environmental education program in partner schools.
We require someone who can undertake the terms of reference for the implementation of our health and environmental education program. This includes understanding and implementing our health and environmental strategy for all programs and projects.
The selected individual will conduct a needs assessment for new partner schools, ensuring access to relevant materials and staying updated on the latest trends in climate change, education for sustainable development, and health action schools.
This role involves holding meetings with mothers and the community for health awareness and health education, monitoring the school environment, and proposing strategies for active citizenship. The successful candidate will also set up systems for maintaining health records of school children, train teachers on health and environment issues, and integrate them into school activities.
In addition, this position requires providing site-based support to teachers, maintaining and updating health files, developing, implementing, and monitoring health tools in partner schools, and assisting the cluster coordinator/education promoter in their activities.
The Environmental Health Program Manager will also facilitate the Whole School Improvement Program and its key activities with other team members, develop health and environmental curriculum, and participate in all enrichment activities, including health clubs, summer camps, and festivals.
This role supports non-formal and literacy programs, documents activities under the Health and Environmental Education Program, contributes to the newsletter, updates and maintains teachers' resource corner, and liaises with other like-minded organizations.
The successful candidate will be proactive, presentable, and have excellent communication skills, leadership skills, and computer skills. They will be able to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the success of our organization.
